While eating yoghurt has long been recognized to lower the risk of diabetes, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) published the first-ever qualified health claim suggesting that yoghurt may lower the risk of Type-2 Diabetes (T2D) in March.
Yogurt contains Lactobacillus casei, Streptococcus thermophilus, and Bifidobacterium species, which not only prevent diabetes but also increase immunity, lower obesity, and maintain a healthy liver.
